that's right! i moved my site over to nekoweb
why? well, nekoweb has a lot more features for free users (like me). i can actually use a visitor counter and status.cafe widget!
nekoweb also doesn't let AI scrape your websites (neocities does by default!) and i really just hate AI so much. AI is basically trying to ruin artists and coders and writers and every other kind of creativity there is, and allowing for AI to steal from creative people gets a big NO from me. i know you can turn off AI scraping but the fact that it's just enabled by default is kinda icky.
no shade to anyone who enjoys neocities! it's still a really awesome place with so many cool websites, i just personally wanna stay as far away from AI as possible.
being a supporter of nekoweb is also cheaper than neocities, and you get some pretty cool features. just something to consider if i do ever want to upgrade my site.
anyway, come check out my site over on nekoweb! i put a lot of work into coding it, and i'll be damned if i let some robots steal my work.
